Winter's trees,
bare branched now bud blushed,
harbinger spring long pined by lone hearts.
Evening's sun,
wanly lustered yet richly bewombed,
promises glory as dark delays.
Winter's nights,
lightly borne after golden thoughts roused,
retreat for spring's birth
